Insidious: In-sid-i-ous, adjective. The gradual progression of something usually ending in a bad outcome. Working in a hidden or usually injurious way. Subtle poison, pernicious cunning.
Systemic Racism: Is composed of intersecting, overlapping and co-dependent racist institutions, policies, practices, ideas and behaviors that give an unjust amount of resources, rights and power to white people while denying them to people of color. White Supremacy!
Laboriously I write! In pathetic depravity I despondently opine, chest-fallen, disheartened, unable to raise my head to glimpse the light. Such is my disgruntled demeanor. Aren’t we all, so say we all! This Covid-19 thing is “Insidious,” and weathering. Perhaps I should use the word wither or whether, one is a question and the other is how shall I proceed? Ought...
I consider myself a literate man with an exceptional ability to arrive at a pragmatic and logical solutions to most metaphorical dialogs and or allegorical questions. I am well acquainted with the political hyperbolic diatribes of our clever political leaders. I consider myself an adherent of Samuel Longhorn Clemens, aka Mark Twain, in my ironic sarcasm of our political elite.
I wish to point out the outlandish differences between our political parties. Actually, I find that there are few subjects or ideals that differentiate them. I found that most Americans agree on most topics but owe their allegiance to their political party. I have found that our political parties vie for the power to rule above all else. Our nation’s political parties are bi-metrical,180-degrees out of sync. If one party is for something then the other must be against it, bi-polar antagonists. In other words, they refuse to agree or mediate nor meet i...
The people that know me will laugh at my title, Why? Because I am a hawk, a warrior, a hunter, and predator. I am in no way a suffering hero or sacrificial lamb, nor an inclusive progressive, “it takes a village”, individual. I have a critical eye and a pragmatic view of my world. I once heard this description of me: I view the world through a police officer’s “Ray Bans” in that I only see wrongdoing. I am so judgmental, and I have a commonsense answer for almost everything. But I am not evil. I can also love unconditionally, and I am loyal to a fault. For better or worse, I am full of righteous indignation. Enough of this self-reflection.
Today I am watching the George Floyd Memorial services in Minneapolis and in Manhattan. I am in my element and celebrating, with our nation, this man’ life. When I hear those African Americans say "this ain't no memorial, it’s a Going Home!” That is what I celebrate, “I can Breathe Now!” Yes George! The tria...
The above title is Spanish for feeling unhinged. It is a word that I feel is appropriate for my state of mind. I am still smarting from being censured by Face Book yesterday. I am literally gun shy to publish anything fearing those “Independent Fact Checkers” will find my content unfavorable to delicate liberal ears. A better word would be “Incensed” but I over-used that particular word a lot yesterday. The fact that there were no facts in my blog post to object to, infuriates me. I voiced some conservative opinions which was the crime for which I was condemned. I will, from this point on, refer to them as the “Brown Shirts” of the liberal media.
I guess I will proceed and irritate them some more. I may never be able to publish again since I have gotten my name in their McCarthy files. They probably have a bigger dossier on me than J Edgar Hoover and the FBI. Enemy number one, a dangerous Christian Conservative. I also drink, have a carry...
I am feeling a little pensive about several things, which can also be described as contemplative or meditative. A variety of words for an indescribable mood. A mood in which one tries to put into print that which he or she is feeling. It can also be portrayed as brooding, delving into one’s innermost emotions, plausibly, about fears for the future, reflective.
I am an old man who is “long in the tooth” and has weathered many years fraught with the maelstroms of events that have come and gone in this saga of mankind. I have seen so much, possibly too much in my lifetime. I have cheered when Americans landed on the moon. I witnessed the assassination of a President. I fought in a war and survived its horrors, along with a divorce that nearly killed me. No bullet is as lethal as some things. I have witnessed 250,000,000 people killed in tragic blow delivered by a Christmas tidal wave. I have observed the horror of wars fought all over the world....
YES! Yes! Yes! Let’s get America going! Get off your ass and go back to work! All of you kids, get dressed and get on the school bus. You teachers get back to the classroom. In other words, let's get the world back to normal, like it was before this Covid 19 thing.
All you scared folks, stay at home until next year or when they produce a viable vaccine. Even if you aren’t afraid, use common sense, if you are elderly or have an underlying health issue, avoid crowds and even grandchildren.
Our economy is dying and so is the world’s. We will always have naysayers who wail derision about people dying. The news media sources scare us on purpose. It is their job to foment the direst circumstances imaginable to earn their salary and increase their notoriety. The more salacious and doom inspiring the print the more they muster.
We know stuff now! Kids aren’t prone to get this or are asympto...
Well! I’ll be dipped in dog shit for posting such as this but it ain’t my fault. With this Covid thing and all the idiocy, I thought I might amuse some of you with my unique male perspective on the subject.
Some of you know that my oldest daughter is in Egypt, teaching American History and Government to elite Egyptian kids, who will do their graduate work in the United States. At present she is quarantined like the rest of us but in a third world country. She has always been outgoing and free spirited and sought adventure. Good for her! I'm Proud of her! How many of you, after becoming an empty nester, would sell or give away all your stuff, then pack up and travel the world in search of “Whatever blows your skirt up” adventure?
Okay! Back to the subject, as noted above. I follow my daughter on Facebook and listen in on her and her friends, she has oodles of them. My daughter is ever the friend maker and has made acquaintances wherever...
As I watch the events evolve concerning past Vice President Joe Biden, I find myself intrigued. I will predicate this post by first stating I didn’t vote for Trump nor Hillary in the last election. I consider myself an independent but conservative. I abhor abortion so that puts me on the political right
I like Uncle Joe because of his amiable character and flashing smile. He is the epitome of the friendly politician, baby hugger and girl kisser. He has been in politics for forty years, so we know who and what he is. As with all politicians, he will say whatever is appropriate, flip flopping and denying with that smiley candor of his. He is the typical elite politician.
Ho hum! I feel as if I’m a man in a drum being assaulted by the reverberations and echoes from of all this political diatribe and rhetoric. All I hear are the talking points of our political gentry haranguing over the pros and cons of the ACA or the new bill to repeal and replace it with something new. Enough already!
I have been accused of complaining too much by both my daughter and a niece. My wife is silent but I flinch from her glowering looks of exasperation.
Allow me to make a humble observation without offending anyone. That is my desire? Approximately seven years ago, President Obama passed his signature piece of legislation and that was the Affordable Care Act. HOORAH! The Democrats rejoiced and the Republicans were reticent.
Disambiguation: Noun, (dis-am-big-u-a-tion) Refers to the removal of ambiguity by making something clear. It narrows down the meaning of a word and it is a good thing.thefreedictionary.com
Political Carve Out: Refers to a business unit or units that are spun off or carved out of a larger company or entity, usually having existing management and customers, having a service or core that is not core to the overall strategy. Synonymous with cronyism. Unions are given control of their pension funds so as to invest and manage them for a better monetary return than that of Social Security. In return they pledge their allegiance to the Democratic Party.
Note! Our social security is not invested, not even a money market account. It is the sacred cow the Democrats refused to let Bush manage for a better return. Our Social Security is borrowed from continuously like Obama taking a half a trillion dollars to fund the ACA. Our Social Security pays for all the welfare aid like SSI...
